Turkish-Flagged Ship Passes Through the Strait of Hormuz

According to Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, a Turkish-owned ship has successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz after receiving permission from Iranian authorities. Uraloğlu shared the details in remarks to Habertürk.
The minister stated that 15 Turkish-owned vessels are currently waiting near Iranian waters and that Ankara has been in contact with Tehran regarding their passage. One of the vessels, which had previously called at an Iranian port, received the necessary approval and safely transited the strait.
Tensions in the region have raised concerns about maritime security in the strategically vital waterway, particularly after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz could be targeted amid the escalating conflict.
